✨ Help Me Finish My Home in West Africa — My Ancestral Return is Almost Complete ✨

I didn’t move to Ghana.

I remembered it.

I didn’t abandon America.

I unburied Africa (Alkebulan).

I didn’t lose my way.

I traced my roots back to my Ancestors.”

My name is Dzifa (G-Fa) Thandolwethu — in Ewe, Dzifa (G-Fa) means “Tranquil Heart,” and in Zulu, Thandolwethu means “Our Love.” I was born Anitra Yancey in the United States, but my heart and soul has always remembered something deeper.

In 2021, I sold everything familiar — my home in Virginia Beach where I raised my two children and taught Middle School Visual Arts for over 20 years.
I wasn’t chasing a dream.
I was following a whisper: “Go West.”
Not to California. Not to comfort.
To memory. To West Africa.

A Journey of Courage, Confidence & Flame

From Virginia I drove to Tennessee, to Washington State, and traveled to Israel. I was fervently in search of my roots, my heart kept listening.
When war broke out in Jerusalem, October 2023, I went back to the U.S. and finally realized — the “West” I had been hearing wasn’t just directional.
It was West Africa.

By November 2023, I was standing barefoot on Ghanaian soil —
my heart full of tears,
my hands full of dust,
my mind full of home.

I didn’t know anyone.
I didn’t have a plan.
I just had breath… and ancestral memory.

I sold my car.
I cashed out my teacher retirement.
I bought land.
And I started building my sovereign sanctuary — a home, birthed not from blueprints, but from soulprint.

Where I Am Now

My home in Ghana stands at rooftop level.
But I need your help to finish it.

What’s needed:

Windows to welcome the dawn of a new scroll era

Doors to open healing to others who journey home

Fence to protect the peace I’ve found

Roofing & Tiles to seal the vision, brick by breath

Interior Touches to hold sacred gatherings & cultural restoration

Why Your Gift Matters

This is not just construction.
It’s reconstruction of a memory buried by time and systems.

This is not just a house.
It’s a Haven of Ancestral Return —
a place to live, teach, host, and heal.
A space where I will one day offer cultural exchange, art workshops, and spiritual renewal for others seeking reconnection.

Your gift isn’t a donation.
It’s a message to the Ancestors.
It’s you saying, “I see you. I believe in your return. And I honor the breath that led you here.”
