Return the Hospitality: Support Joshua Perry

This may be new information for some, but about a year and a half ago, Josh was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, and has been managing it. Recently, he took a turn for the worse; on May 5, 2020, he was admitted to the ER with diverticulitis. He underwent major surgery, spent time in the ICU, and is now in recovery—all during the COVID-19 crisis.
What is terrible is that Josh is without insurance. He started working in October and was brought on as full-time in February; his 90-day waiting period for insurance ends this Sunday, May 16, and his insurance should start then. Unfortunately, hospital bills are mounting—he was also in for a short time in April ($33,500), plus whatever his current hospitalization will amount to.
This campaign is for the concrete number we have so far: the first hospital stay, right around $33,500. It’s a huge goal. But Josh has a huge heart, and the hospitality he has shown to everyone who knows him is overwhelming. Everyone is having a hard time right now, but now is the time to remember that Josh has always been there for everyone else. Now it’s time for all of us to show up for him.
