Help Me Rebuild My 5th Grade Classroom!

After three years away from the classroom, I’m thrilled to be returning to what I love most—teaching! This fall, I’ll be stepping back into the classroom as a 5th grade teacher and partial MCL (Multi-Classroom Leader), supporting not only my students but also fellow educators.

During my time away, I gave away nearly all of my classroom supplies to support other teachers. Now, I’m starting from scratch (as you can see from the picture of my new classroom) and need help rebuilding a warm, welcoming, and well-equipped learning environment for my students.

I teach in a historically underfunded school that serves economically disadvantaged students. Many of my students arrive at school without basic supplies, and the classroom truly becomes their second home. I want to make sure they walk into a space that feels safe, welcoming, and full of the tools they need to learn and grow.

Decorations to create a positive, inviting space
