Return Gary back to the ocean

Donation protected
My Autistic Son Arthur found Gary in the toilet at the rag market in Birmingham Central England .
He must have ran from one of the Chinese live food stalls there.
When Arthur first spotted him he was running on his back legs with his pinchers waving in the air.
He decided that we must rescue who he has named Gary.
We picked Gary up and took him to a stall and asked for a pot to take him in. The lady on the stall remarked that we were wasting out time and that he would be dead in a few hours.
We took him anyway thinking he could die somewhere nice and with a small chance instead.
When we got home I took the salad draw from the fridge and put in sand dampened with salt water. A bowl of salt water, rocks and shells and some small bits of fish, fruit and tomatoes. Crabs will eat anything but it seems that actually Gary preferes fruit. Particularly tomatoes He is now very well and his story has attracted a huge following.
This boy wanted to survive so much.
We have decided, not being fond of animals in boxes that we would like to take him back to the coast. We made sure that they are not an invasive species that don't belong here and we would like to take him to the south coast where he will be suited by train. We are hovering over the idea of picking up some friends for him from the market that he came from in Birmingham as we would change there.
This is a wacky story I know but it is one that people have warmed to and it would be nice to give it the best ending and set Gary free.
Gary has shown true spirit and resilience and we all need a bit of Garyness right now its a 400 mile round trip that I will be making with Arthur to Devon as soon as we have enough money
