My name is Breanna, and after almost a year on the waitlist, I was finally accepted into the cosmetology program I’ve been dreaming of. This is a huge step toward building a career that can support my family and give us the stability we’ve been fighting so hard for. The only thing standing in my way is the $2,500 tuition that must be paid in full by December 1st. If I miss this deadline, I’ll be placed back on the waitlist and could lose another year — a year I could have already spent building a better future.
The past two years have been some of the most challenging of our lives. I experienced a miscarriage, had my gallbladder removed, and went through a high-risk pregnancy that ended in preeclampsia and an emergency C-section with our rainbow baby. When she was born, my husband lost his job for taking time off to be with us during the emergency. Since then, we’ve faced housing instability and poured every bit of time, energy, and money we had into renovating an old travel trailer just to create a safe home for our girls.
Even after everything, I’m choosing to move forward with hope. I want to build a career that allows us to finally breathe, to create stability, and to show my daughters what determination can look like. This program is the first real opportunity we’ve had in a long time to start turning things around.
If you’re able to contribute — even a small amount — it would mean the world to our family. Your support would help me step into a career I love and give us the chance to move out of survival mode and into a brighter future.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for giving us hope during a time when we need it most.
