Retired Teacher/Police Officer Needs Your Help

Donation protected
It is extremely humbling and somewhat embarrassing that I find myself in such of position of publicly reaching out for assistance. I was told that I have always put my pride ahead of circumstances that consisted of letting others know what is going on in my life, and that a closed mouth can’t be fed. Well, that time has arrived and I find myself staring into the abyss. I am a retired educator, and left the profession in June 2012, as well as a former Reserve Law Enforcement Officer. As a “reserve” officer, there is no salary awarded. It is a voluntary position filled by those who have a strong desire to contribute and give back to society. A job which I loved and felt blessed to be able to do. Fortunately, my income from teaching all those years, allowed me to simultaneously pursue dual careers without financial pressure. I retired from Law Enforcement in March 2018 with the rank of Lieutenant, after 15 years of service. I went through a divorce prior to both retirements, but it was not until I received my projected monthly income pension that I began experiencing financial strain. My monthly pension is only around $1,800 which is less than half of what I earned working full time! It’s been stressful to say the least just trying to make ends meet. Every month brings a new struggle and having to decide between paying my medical bills, paying rent, buying groceries or paying for my prescriptions. I have had my home foreclosed on. I have had to refinance my vehicle twice just to make ends meet. I have also been living with Parkinson’s disease, which has progressed as a result of stress and inactivity. I’ve undergone 3 spinal procedures as a result of falling from the loss of balance. Please know that I am not looking for pity… just a hand to help me get back on my feet. I have recently moved into a perfect small apartment for me about 5 months ago. This month I had to decide whether to pay my medical bills to continue to receive treatment or pay my rent. I chose to pay my medical bill which left me with no money to pay my rent. I received a letter to pay rent by June 17th or I will be getting evicted. My rent is $910 plus the $50 late fee with $10 late charge per day after that. In a few weeks rent will be due again. I should have no problem if I am able to address my outstanding delinquency. I just cannot afford to go through eviction, as I don’t have enough money, manpower, ability, or facility as affordable and safe as I found here. Houston, I did not know what else to do aside from this. If you find it in your heart to help, I will provide you with any reasonable information you request via phone or meet publicly. Although I am disabled, I am willing to do whatever I am physically able to do in terms of EARNING your donations. Contact me at [phone redacted]. Thank you and God bless.
