Nearly 10 years young, retired PSD Tuukka is a total badass with a heart of gold — strong, sensitive, and endlessly fun. She started her career with the RCMP’s Roving Traffic Unit, sniffing out drugs and contraband with pure talent and zero shortcuts. Now retired, Tuukka’s traded busts for bliss: mountain hikes, epic naps on her toy throne, and gravity-defying ball launches. That ball isn’t just a toy — it’s her mission, her muse, and her bedtime buddy. With ears that ignore gravity and a smile that could melt steel, Tuukka’s the full package.
Unfortunately, retirement hasn’t been all tennis balls and hikes for Tuukka.
Not long after hanging up her working vest, Tuukka began suffering from chronic ear infections and severe allergies. Recently, things took a frightening turn when she had to be rushed to the emergency vet with a high fever, lethargy, shaking, retching, and dangerously low respiration.
X-rays revealed that one of her lungs was severely enlarged, likely due to a serious infection—or possibly pneumonia. Tuukka was immediately placed on IV antibiotics and oxygen as vets worked to stabilize her.
Since retiring from service, Tuukka’s medical care has already exceeded $13,000, and the costs continue to grow.
Tuukka spent her career protecting others with courage and loyalty. Now, this proud warrior princess needs our help to keep fighting. Any support you can give will help ensure Tuukka gets the care she needs to recover and enjoy the retirement she deserves. Thank you for helping Tuukka.
