On 2nd August I am swimming a mile along the River Dee to raise money for the Merseyside Retired Police Dog Benevolent Fund. The mission of the fund is to pay the lions share of any medical care that retired police dogs need, this can be long term medications and life prolonging surgeries. These police dogs have bravely protected their communities and are fully deserving of good health and comfort in their latter years.

The fund is not yet a registered charity, the application is currently being processed but in the meantime every little helps to make sure these animals can continue to be well looked after.

100% of the money raised will go directly to the Fund.
