Retired Nurse Karen Woodside regain her mobility
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
I am reaching out to share the story of Sister Karen Woodside, a retired Senior Nursing Officer from Grand Bahama in the Bahamas, who has dedicated nearly five decades to caring for others with grace, hope, and kindness. Sister Woodside now faces the challenge of bilateral total hip replacement surgeries due to severe osteoarthritis, which has greatly impacted her quality of life.
Despite facing displacement from Hurricane Dorian and the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sister Woodside has remained resilient with the support of her unwavering faith, trust in God and constant prayers. However, her ability to enjoy simple pleasures like yoga, gardening, and baking has been hindered by her reliance on a walker and wheelchair.
With your generosity, we aim to raise $40,000 to cover the remaining costs of Sister Woodside's surgeries, hospitalization, and rehabilitation. Your support will not only help her regain mobility but also enable her to continue her life's work as a nursing hero. Together, let's make a difference in the life of someone who has dedicated hers to caring for others.
Thank you for considering supporting Sister Woodside in her time of need.
Warm regards, Elaine Poitier RN BSN
