Chief Kirk Smith Retired from the Lexington Missouri Fire Department in 2017 and has developed a life threatening lung disorder that requires a lung transplant. Chief Smith gave his entire adult life to helping other people as a first responder and now needs our help to fight to survive.  Chief Smith does have insurance and some of the expenses are covered but a large amount of money is still needed to help with travel to and from they Mayo Clinic and to cover the costs that are not picked up by insurance.  Kirk is on the transplant list now and this could happen any day and the expenses are mounting. Kirk and his wife are also parents to two adopted girls one in college and one in high school.  Any amount helps!
