Retire The Gap For Kevin

As many of you know, my brother Kevin was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer last spring. Since then he's been fighting the good fight while trying to get his business affairs in order for his family. Kevin and Patty are raising two of their grandsons and unfortunately, disability doesn't cover personal bills and medical expenses. 

Due to complicated circumstances, Kevin will not be receiving his full retirement from the state of Oregon. As a result, he and Patty are attempting to retire some debt early in order to make things more manageable with the income he will have when all is said and done. To make matters worse, Kevin is facing a substantial chargeback from his disability insurance, as his mandatory retirement is being backdated to August.  Needless to say, this will put an additional burden on Kevin and his family as they face the very real prospect of losing their home, and worse. 

With Kevin being a man of faith, he enjoys the peace of knowing the pains and difficulties of this world are indeed short lived, while the hope and promise of things eternal carry him through. He also enjoys the very real love and support of family and friends, as we all understand that without them this life can easily become overwhelming. These are the things that truly matter and what is seeing us all through in the shorter term, during this difficult time.
