Retca School in Frankadua, Ghana

Hello! We are a group of volunteers with IVHQ, working in the teaching program at Retca school in Frankadua, Ghana.

Over our 4 weeks teaching here it has become clear that there is a serious lack of space, which impacts the efficiency of the teaching and the productivity of the children. Therefore we would like to support the headmaster Simon in his plan to expand Retca school in order to accomodate the growing number of children.

We kindly ask your contribution for the purchase of the following materials:

4 roofing sheets - $580
24 bags of cement - $155
Sand - $125
Stone - $215
Labour - $180

Along with the expantion of the school, we also would like to build the washrooms. As shown in the picture below, the kids currently squat on a piece of wood over a large hole in the ground.
With this project we would like to build 4 bathrooms, 2 for boys and 2 for girls, with actual toilet seats.

The cost for the labour and the material is of $1450.

Any donation is greatly appreciated! If there's any surplus, it will be used towards school supplies.
