Imagine sitting at a dinner table or watching a new show with your son and only hearing silence or static...
For Brian Baum, this has become his daily reality. After years of relying on hearing aids to stay connected to his family and friends, both of his devices have recently broken beyond repair.
As many of you know, Brian has severe hearing loss. Without functioning hearing aids, even the simplest tasks like answering the phone, talking to his children, or hearing the doorbell have become significant challenges. He is currently on a fixed income, and while he's always been the first to help others, the high cost of quality hearing aids (which can range from $3,000 to $6,000) is simply out of reach.
The Goal
We are starting this GoFundMe to help Brian Baum regain his hearing and his quality of life.
Our goal is to raise $3,000 to cover:
- A pair of high-quality, medical-grade hearing aids specifically programmed for severe loss
- The necessary fitting and follow-up appointments with an audiologist
- Warranties and batteries/charging equipment
