For decades, Doña Esperanza has been the eyes and ears for the children of our community. As a dedicated babysitter in Arizona, she spent her life making sure our little ones were safe, fed, and loved. She is a woman who has always given her all to others, and now, she is the one who needs us to look out for her.
The Struggle
Currently, Esperanza is facing a challenge that has stolen her independence. Advanced cataracts have clouded her vision, making it impossible for her to do the things she loves most—reading her Bible and cooking for her family. More importantly, because she already struggles with her knees and relies on a cane, her lack of vision makes every step in her home a dangerous risk for a life-altering fall.
The Goal
Doctors at Valleywise Community Health Center - South Central have urged her to have surgery as soon as possible. While her church has already raised $500, we still have a "gap" of $700 to cover the remaining costs.

I am a close friend of Esperanza. Because she does not have a bank account (having worked for cash as a caregiver for years), I am managing these funds on her behalf. 100% of the donations will be withdrawn to my account and paid directly to the medical provider or delivered to her son for her surgical expenses. I will post receipts of all payments in the "Updates" section.
