As Rian’s devoted mother, and lifelong friend, I have been his loyal and dedicated advocate, as he has mysteriously become afflicted with a tenacious debilitating chronic illness of the last 6 years.  He is 37, is losing his joy and sense of purpose for waking up each day, feeling hopelessness and exhaustion as he struggles each day to find meaning and inspiration.       It is Lymes disease we are told, along with other body invading organisms, causing overwhelming health challenges.. it includes weakening  of the mental and emotional and social aspects needed for daily living, for survival actually.  

Rian is an ‘old soul,’ a beautiful wise loving  spirit, a gift to this world ever since he arrived, .. a sensitive and natural artist.  He cares immensely for others, and feels heartbroken each  day to not have the physical energy or mental capacity, lacking stamina to sustain the connections he has always thrived on and valued with family and friends important to him.  It causes much isolation and loneliness for him.  He shares with me often, with  deep sadness, how he yearns to be able to be in service to others and to life around him, to feel powerful and using his potential, and wants so much to be able to care for a furry companion, his passion.  Yet for now each day, often each hour, is about just working to maintain, to ‘keep his head above water’ as he says.  He is prevented from working effectively each day unfortunately, so earning a successful living has been greatly diminishing.  He has been so inspired before about his work before his strength and energy began to decline.  

We have him now receiving specialized weekly visits to a practitioner for healing treatments, and he is seeing a unique holistic medical clinic that focuses on recovery from chronic illnesses, particularly Lymes, Chrobic Fatigue, and mold..  This road to recovery is going to take possibly another 2-3years we are told, and it is extremely costly.  We are also needing to focus on getting his home sold as soon as possible, to get him into a healthier and cheaper smaller easier living environment.   I will not let him give up, there IS light at the end of this long dark tunnel for him!  It is my job to continue to remind him always of who he is and keep his hopes up!  Therefore, as his ever optimistic and committed mother and advocate, I am reaching out in seeking ways to help cover the huge required expenses - his health appointments, treatments, supplements/meds, and he needs a sauna in his home to use for helping detox, among other important needs for getting toxins out of his home.  I am seeking to find a reliable live-in caregiver roommate for him soon..
