RESTORING PATRICE'S DIGNITY AFTER DEATH

Donation protected
Hi. My name is Carlette Scott, and my sister-in-love, Patrice Scott, recently passed away. Unfortunately, Patrice was not granted that reality of dying with dignity, which everyone deserves. Patrice died on 11/17/21, after a short stint at a rehabilitation/nursing facility in Crete, Illinois.

Patrice was diagnosed with Lupus just a few short months ago, and was at the rehab facility to help strengthen weakened muscles. On the day of her death, staff from the facility phoned family members several times within a short period of time. The initial call was to inform that Patrice had stopped breathing and that the ambulance had been called to take her to the hospital. A second call was made to inform family that they'd been able to restore Patrice's breathing, and advised family to go to the hospital. The final call made to the family was to report that Patrice had passed.

Hoping to get answers once at the hospital, the family was quite surprised when the doctors asked them what had happened to Patrice. According to the emergency room doctors, Patrice was deceased upon arrival to the emergency room, and had been gone for quite some time, as noted by the coldness of her body. These details significantly contradict the information given to the family by the staff at the rehabilitation facility, compelling the perception of negligence and concealment of the factual information of Patrice's death.

Patrice's mother, Erma, and her children Miaya and Jerrad, along with the rest of the family, are heart broken. The family is desperately seeking answers to understand what happened to Patrice in less than 24 hours of last being seen by her daughter Miaya.

To help get answers and move toward closure, the family is requesting assistance to help fund an autopsy, secure an attorney to investigate what happened at the rehabilitation facility, and support the inevitable funeral/burial arrangements. Funds will be managed by Miaya Scott-Carter.

Thanks for your generosity and for your continued prayers for the family.
