Hi, I’m Amber Joy, founder of Joy’s Rescue — a private, non-profit animal rescue I’ve run for the last 10 years. We are 100% non-government funded and powered entirely by love, donations, and the hard work of volunteers.

We’ve helped over 80+ animals find safety, care, and their perfect forever homes — working across Southern Ontario including Toronto, Brantford, Hamilton, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Grimsby, NOTL and beyond.

Some of you know, I’ve been battling complications from EDS. As of 2020 I had become aware of my personal health issues - in 2025 I’ve had to start treatments, surgeries & my own personal medical bill. Unfortunately after all of this I have come to realize this cannot be primary personally fund this mission anymore.

We currently have a list of 7 animals needing care

3. Pepè (cat)- FIP Treatment, Vaccinations, Bloodwork & Neuter

4. Sadie (dog)- Vaccinations, Bloodwork, Spay & Allergy testing

5. Neeko (cat)- Vaccinations & allergy testing

6. Smudge (cat) - Vaccinations & allergy testing

7. Puck (rabbit) - vaccinations, bloodwork & neuter

We need to pay off pre-existing vet bills, upcoming vet bills & buy equipment.
