Restoring Hunter Spring Farm
Donation protected
Hello all. As some of you may know, on the evening of June 20, 2018, southwestern Pennsylvania was hit with major rain, and lots of flash flooding. Unfortunately one of the locations affected was Hunter Spring Farm, a small family owned and operated horse farm in Bethel Park, PA. The owner of the farm, Elizabeth Pagano is a mother, a teacher, and an American Airman serving at the 171st Air Refueling Wing. This young lady is solely responsible for the business at the farm, as well as for her family, and fellow Airmen. Last night, her entire business was washed away in just a few short hours. 9 horses had to be evacuated and are currently living at facilities where they are safe and dry. Everything else is a loss from feed and hay, to arena dirt and tack. Even more unfortunately for Elizabeth, the insurance company deemed her property not a flood risk, so she was unable to purchase flood insurance. So now it’s up to us, her staff and her clients to clean up the mess and restore Elizabeth’s livelihood. Our goal is to raise $8,000 for repairs and restorations to the farm as well as to make sure the horses have what they need to remain healthy. Every cent counts as you’re taking on a project like this, and if you can’t donate money, a share is just as good. Thank you!
