Restoring Hope for Orphans in Uganda: Making a Difference
Donation protected
At just 21 years old, Kakooza David—an orphaned child himself—has taken on the mission of caring for children like him, who have been left without family or support in Uganda. With no steady income, limited resources, and a heart of compassion, Kakooza houses over 40 children in the Kyenda region of Mubende District. Day by day, he sacrifices his own needs to feed, house, and transport the children under his care. They’re all faith-filled, and eager to thrive, but face opposition most children never experience.
Kakooza’s heart led him to become the hands and feet of Jesus for the vulnerable around him in 2021. Since then, he and a small group of older youths have dedicated themselves to getting all the children into school and keeping a roof over their head…Regardless, many many nights they still go to bed hungry. Nor breakfast, lunch or dinner. Through consistent prayer, and the generosity of others, Kakooza continues to press!—working this ministry, with Jesus as his only lifeline.
This campaign exists to shine a light on his extraordinarily kind heart and their urgent need for provision. Donations go directly to food, shelter, school fees and shipping care packages.
Though still a youth himself, Kakooza has embraced a responsibility that many people older than him would never shoulder. He deserves our help! Please join us in lifting up this mission because “when we support the least of these”, we embody pure and genuine faith (Matthew 25:40, James 1:27).
