"Hello Everyone,
I hope this message finds you well. On June 17, 2023, my life took an unexpected turn when my family and I were involved in a hit and run accident on our way to Walmart. The driver in the adjacent lane collided with us, leaving my wife, our two small babies, and myself in a state of shock and distress. To make matters worse, the driver callously fled the scene, compounding the difficulties we face.
Physically, the aftermath has been incredibly demanding. I've been diagnosed with six tears in my spine, multiple herniations, and nerve damage. The pain has been not only excruciating but also has deeply impacted my ability to lead a normal life. Everyday activities have become a struggle, and the toll on my emotional well-being has been immense. Unfortunately, the pain has extended into my personal life, affecting my intimate relationship with my wife.
The financial strain is another layer of difficulty. My doctors have advised me against returning to work for at least 12 months, emphasizing the need for extensive physical therapy. As a result, the loss of income has added stress to an already challenging situation.
I had recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of opening my own breakfast restaurant, 'NewEats.' It was a labor of love, where everything was crafted homemade and from scratch. Unfortunately, fate had other plans for us. The car we were in, which I relied on to commute to and from the restaurant, was totaled in the accident. To add to the difficulty, I only had Limited Liability Insurance, leaving me with no coverage for the loss. As if that wasn't challenging enough, I discovered that the other driver had no insurance at all.
Unable to afford a new means of transportation, I had no choice but to close the doors of 'NewEats.' This heartbreaking decision came just as my restaurant was gaining momentum, and my dreams of expanding to a food truck seemed within reach.
Life has taken a drastic turn from the vibrant dreams and aspirations I once held. The financial burden is overwhelming. My wife has taken on additional work to cover our bills to prevent eviction from our apartment, leaving us in a constant struggle to make ends meet.
I'm reaching out for support in this difficult time. The funds raised will go towards medical bills, essential living expenses, and any assistance you can provide towards helping me get back on my feet. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on our journey to recovery.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and for considering being a part of our path to healing.
With sincere gratitude,
