Restore Wild Lotus Yoga Collective's Future

Tish Hilyer here, founder of Wild Lotus Yoga Collective in Flat Rock, NC.

I am asking for some help for our beautiful new yoga studio that has been closed due to Hurricane Helene.

This is our story ...

Wild Lotus Yoga Collective is a simple space with a big heart.

A place for liberation.

We are a sacred business committed to our values of community, connection and collaboration.

Wild Lotus officially opened on July 8th, 2024 and has been serving our community with beautiful yoga classes offered by highly skilled and beloved teachers.

We have been doing things a little differently ...

We offer all regular classes at $10, for everyone, all the time

& we pay our teachers really well, 70% of every offering.

We believe in making yoga more accessible to everyone.

And we need your support to continue.

Hurricane Helene brought catastrophic flooding to WNC.

The Wild Lotus Yoga Collective studio space, idyllically situated on Highland Lake, miraculously did not flood.

However, we have been closed since September 26th due to damages caused by the storm.

As of today, we are still without power and safe passage to the studio.

And the water and sewer lines were broken as well.

Repairs and restoration are happening.

But it will likely be some time before we can reopen.

We are asking for help to cover one month of business expenses ($3,000)

as a grace period for getting back to doing what we love most.

As well as some funds for our teachers to give a little support

as they have not been able to work in this space for some time.

($2,000 to be shared between our teachers (non owner)

We honor that so many people and businesses in WNC have been affected by Hurricane Helene, and many worse than us.

We also acknowledge that we need help to continue onward in the way that feels most true and aligned for us as a yoga business.
