As friends and supporters of the Rev. Dr. Derrick McQueen and St. James Presbyterian Church, we are hosting this gofundme as we grieve what was stolen. Sadly, St. James Presbyterian Church was broken into on the night that the community celebrated their 130th anniversary.

More than $10,000 of vital electronics were stolen that connect the broad community of St. James. Items include computers, audio-visual equipment, and livestream tools—resources they depend on to connect with members and reach well beyond church walls.

As a church rooted in the Black faith tradition, the legacy of St. James has always been one of resilience and service. They have fed the hungry, mentored youth, comforted the grieving, and extended a message of love and justice far beyond Sunday mornings. They are also growing in faith and numbers. The loss of this equipment is not just a financial setback—it disrupts their mission, silences their outreach, and impacts their elders, children, and all those who count on their presence both in-person and online.
