Street Fare Farm is a family-run four-season farm dedicated to fostering the health of our community and the Earth. We produce high-quality, nutritionally-dense seasonal produce, pasture-raised eggs, and microgreens. Two years ago, we invested in a well to irrigate our farm, which initially tested at 10 gallons per minute. However, it quickly became clear that the well wasn’t keeping up with our needs. Despite our efforts to construct storage systems and invest in pumps, we continued to struggle with water shortages. After further testing, we discovered the well was only producing 1 gallon per minute—a far cry from what we need to keep the farm alive.
The funds raised will go directly toward restoring our farm’s water supply so we can continue growing food this season. The primary expense is hydro-fracturing our well, which is needed to restore its recharge capacity. Right now, the well isn’t producing enough water to support even our reduced planting, and we’ve already had to bring in trucked water just to keep things alive. Additional funds will help cover the immediate costs of getting production back on track once water is restored—including seed, soil inputs, and labor needed to catch up after delays. Our goal is simple: stabilize the farm so we can continue growing and providing fresh food to our community throughout the season.
We would be honored and humbled to have your support in ensuring that we can continue to do the work that we believe is crucial in feeding our community, cultivating a more sustainable local food system, and stewarding God's creation responsibly and regeneratively for generations to come. Every contribution helps us move from just trying to get by to being able to operate sustainably again.
