The Story

On a recent trip to Pakistan, A family member met with a young 5 year old girl called Zara. Her family had come to us looking for help for her as she had lost her vision. We initially wanted to support her surgery to restore her vision. After getting medical advice, we found out the blindness was a result of a life-altering illness that no child should ever have to face.

Following an MRI, she has been diagnosed with an aggressive high-grade astrocytoma, a large brain mass that has caused hydrocephalus (dangerous fluid pressure in the brain). Due to this pressure, she has lost her vision.

Alhumdulillah, doctors have confirmed that there is no metastasis, which gives real hope.

Specialists have advised that three surgeries are urgently required to remove the tumour and relieve pressure on her brain. By relieving pressure on the optic nerves, doctors believe her vision can be restored, In Sha Allah.

Why We Are Asking for Help
The total cost of the surgeries and associated hospital care is 20 lakh Pakistani rupees (approximately £5,400).
For her family, this amount is overwhelming. For us, together, it is achievable.
Every contribution, no matter how small, brings this child closer to:
* Regaining her sight
* Living a normal childhood
* A future free from pain and darkness

How Funds Will Be Used
* Brain surgeries (3 stages as advised by doctors)
* Hospitalisation and ICU care
* Surgical and anaesthesia fees
* Post-operative monitoring and medications

Medical reports and MRI findings are available and can be shared to maintain full transparency.

A Humble Appeal
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.” (Tabarani)
This is a chance to be part of saving a child’s sight and future.
If you are unable to donate, please share this appeal. Your share may reach the person whose sadaqah becomes her cure.

May Allah accept this as sadaqah jariyah for you and grant this little girl complete shifa. Ameen
