On October 14, Vernon was walking onto the turf for soccer practice, drinking out of his water jug. While walking and drinking, another player ran into Vernon, the impact being so hard it broke a front tooth.

I am asking for support with the first of many dental procedures for his crown, as this first procedure is not covered by our dental coverage. While we have dental insurance, crowns are not covered for children until the age of 12, as our dentist explains that most dental insurances assume children don’t lose all of their baby teeth until they are preteens; whereas Vernon has lost all of his before turning 10.

As a parent, I have expected Vernon to become insecure about his smile. Surprisingly enough, he has been perfectly fine with the situation, his only concern being Spring photos in a few months haha.
