Restore USF Phi Delta Theta's Beloved Chapter House

Dear brothers, friends, and family of Florida Epsilon,

As you may know, the chapter house was inundated with floodwaters during hurricane Milton. The pumps of the Hillsborough county storm water system failed in the entire area of the north University section of Tampa and was flooded. The house corporation has done an assessment this weekend to get an estimate of the cost to repair the damage from the water. At this early stage, it is extremely difficult to put an exact number on it but our rough estimate is somewhere between $150,000-$200,000. The good news is the water has dropped significantly from the morning after the storm reflected in the photo below. We should be able to commence the repair work this week.

We will need to completely renovate the four downstairs apartments in the house as well as the rec room.
We will need new air-conditioning units, drywall, cabinets, appliances, as well as potential electrical systems associated with the new lift station for the sewer system that we just recently installed.
We have been so fortunate to have many of you offer assistance and construction materials, etc.

At this point, the immediate need will be funds to commence this renovation so we may be able to get the students back into the apartments prior to the end of the semester. This house is so near and dear to many of our hearts. So many friendships were made that will last a lifetime. We ask that if you’ve ever been to the house, been part of the fraternity or been in a sorority or are in the Greek system anywhere in the country understand what we’re going through. We asked that you spread this far and wide, and please donate to our cause.

All contributions will be used directly to renovate and repair the house. If we are fortunate enough to surpass our goal, all funds will be used to further renovate and improve property or pay down our outstanding mortgage balance.
