Help Trolley Pub Austin Rebuild After Devastating Storm
On the evening of May 28th, 2025, a powerful storm swept through Austin and caused unimaginable damage to our small business. A massive tree was uprooted and fell directly onto all of our party bikes, completely destroying them and leaving Trolley Pub Austin inoperable overnight.
We are heartbroken.
As a result, we’ve had to cancel and refund all of our scheduled tours for the foreseeable future. These tours are the heart of our business — and the livelihood of our team. We now face significant and urgent costs to recover: the purchase of new party bikes, rent for our storage space, ongoing loan payments, and — most importantly — continued support for our employees as we work to rebuild from the ground up.
What Is Trolley Pub Austin?
For those who haven’t met us yet, Trolley Pub Austin is a beloved East Austin staple and the original pedal-powered party bike experience. Since our very first ride, we’ve helped thousands of people celebrate birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, team outings, and get-togethers. We’ve created unforgettable memories on the streets of our city we’re proud to be a small part of what makes Austin weird, welcoming, and truly one-of-a-kind.
Why We Need Your Help
This was an unthinkable disaster, and insurance is not covering the full extent of the damages or operational losses.
Your donation will go directly toward:
- Purchasing new party bikes
- Maintaining rent and covering loan obligations during downtime
- Paying our employees during recovery
- Getting back to doing what we love — serving our community
Every dollar helps. Whether it's $5 or $500, your support means the world to us and brings us one step closer to recovery.
If you've ever ridden with us, laughed with us, or even just seen one of our bikes roll past on a sunny day — we hope you'll consider helping us get back on the road.
The Heart Behind the Operation: David
At the core of Trolley Pub Austin is David, our manager and the heart and soul of our team.
David isn’t just someone who keeps things running — he shows up with heart, humor, and an unwavering commitment to our riders. Whether he’s coordinating tours, fixing bikes, supporting the staff, or making sure guests feel welcome, David leads with compassion.
In this moment of hardship, David continues to hold us together. If you’ve ever experienced a Trolley Pub ride that felt special — there’s a good chance it’s because of him.
