My name is Claudine and I am a friend and supporter of an animal rescue organization in Springhill, Florida, founded and created by a compassionate, animal loving rescuer named Tracie Steger. Tracie has dedicated her life, property and home to helping and rescuing sick, injured and hospice animals, but now she is the one needing rescuing. The 5 acre non-profit, free roaming sanctuary, that she created and built, was also her home of 10 years. It has been taken by a rogue board of directors in December 2024.

Tracie developed cancer and had to have emergency surgery for a septic gallbladder that almost killed her. But, through her cancer treatment and surgery, Tracie lived on the property providing care and safety 24 hours a day to ensure the cats were safe from harm and predators, even during storms and hurricanes. They no longer have that protection she provided. She has provided hundreds of cats with care and love they so desperately needed.

Tracie brought on 2 new board members in December 2024, with the hopes that she and the animals would get the help she had been begging for, for months. But instead of helping Tracie these rogue board members violated several bylaws and removed Tracie from her home with just the clothes on her back and a few of her personal pets.

Now she has been left homeless with no vehicle and none of her belongings. Much of her belongings were sold in yard sales the board members put on, thrown away or taken by others including precious heirlooms. They ruthlessly blocked supporters of Tracie and her rescue and now ask those same people for money for their own cause.

Tracie is a fighter and we are raising funds to get her back where she belongs. They have taken her purpose but not her spirit. We can't let them take her spirit after all she has given to the community and so selflessly to the animals in need for so many years. Your help is needed so she can fight to get her home back and continue the work of saving sick, injured and critical animals in the community and beyond. The community has helped in the past and now we need your help again. Tracie’s knowledge and compassion are needed at the very rescue she founded and we don't have much time to raise the money needed to get her and her pets home.
