On September 11th, 2001, my little brother Ralph was killed in the World Trade Centre. I told Mom and Dad that all I wanted for his memory was his Car.

This 1991 318is was the car I had a picture of on my wall when I lived in Banff. When in about 1995 Ralph's buddy sold him this car he offered to sell it to me for double what he paid.

Ralph never let me drive our little 318is, but it was so him. So when we knew he was gone and were clearing his apartment, I asked if I could keep the car.

I love driving it, it handles so well, and it used to look amazing. Sadly since COVID she has been suffering. First a car wash attendant backed her into a wall which was mostly repaired. But now rust and the Sun are causing bigger damage. The last few years the paint has really faded and pitted.

Next year is the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and what a fitting tribute it would be to drive RG's car back to NYC for that Memorial fully restored. Paint alone is about $10K, rust work also about that. Plus I want a longer term covered parking.

I just can't swing it. But if you chip in a bit and let others who remember Ralph, love cars, or remember how 9/11 changed our world, we can make this happen before next year.

Today is September 12th. The anniversary of the day we knew Ralph was gone, let's make the next year count and bring back his car as we approach the 25th anniversary of his murder on 9/11.
