Embassy of the Earth is fundraising for our friends at the Mathare River in the Nairobi slums, with whom we have worked consistently for the last two years.

On the night of September 30, the HUB suffered a devastating fire resulting in massive damage to infrastructure, equipment, and materials.

This disaster has brought all operations to a halt, and left the community at the brink of collapse, threatening to stall years of hard-won progress in sustainable livelihoods and climate action.

For the community, the loss is more than physical; it has disrupted a crucial platform for collective hope and collaboration, leaving vulnerable groups without their source of income and empowerment.

We are seeking kindred spirits to help these RIVER HEROES get back on their feet, so they can continue transforming the health and vitality of the Mathare River Basin.

Work has already begun, but help is needed, to rebuild the HUB so the community can continue their amazing work cleaning up the river .
