Restore the Riddles' Home and Hope

Hello, we are the Riddles and we have recently lost our home. Our story isn't as many would think; our home was not lost to fire or weather. Our home was lost to sewage... yes, our city's sewage!

Our situation started in August when our small town renewed its sewage. Now, there are many twists and turns to this story, and I could hold a town hall meeting to explain it all, but the long story short is we need a REALLY good lawyer and the help from others.

Now to explain our current situation... I believe we have a bad faith insurance issue. We have lost so much to this, but on Friday, before we could read the documents in the email our insurance adjuster sent over, he sent a Zelle payment of $16,969. Once questioned, we learned that was all he was willing to pay to finish the repairs to our gutted home. I have already given the contractor $40,000 to start, and he has been moving wonderfully along with this project, but 16k will not bring my home back to how it was, nor will it replace the things we lost. I can note the statement he made as it was “our problem” to fix the walls in the backside of our home, which includes our boys' bedroom, their bathroom, and den. Our problem... how is the mistake of another company that caused this mess our problem? Your guess is as good as ours.

So now I am here asking for help! Even a share to spread the word, it is a large number but I currently do not have a kitchen, half of my walls, or bathrooms and I fear that I won’t until I am able to get legal help and realistically I know it can take years to be able to move forward from a lawsuit.
