Restore the Original Movie Theater in Clanton, AL

Peach Country Theater is a 100-year-old theater located in Clanton, Alabama, the former Wadesonian Theater. We recently purchased the building and have begun renovations. The construction phase is going to be quite costly, so we are asking for help to get through this phase. We have applied for many grants, and are continuing to do so, but so far we've come up empty. We are also working on planning some fundraisers. A lot of the work consists of getting it back to the original "bones", which we can do a lot of on our own. The money we are working to raise will go directly to construction expenses that we cannot complete on our own, such as - replacing the roof, running new electricity, updating plumbing, etc. Our most immediate need is the roof.

Once renovations are complete, we will open as a single-screen movie theater showing new-release movies. We will also offer popular food and drink concession options. Our theater has a beautiful stage, so as we grow we can offer many other forms of entertainment. We plan to offer live music, comedy, and theater. We will also be able to host local theater groups that need a space to work and perform. We are so excited to bring something like this to Clanton!
