Restore the lost piano

Donation protected
My name is Nicola and I’m the mother of a talented young musician called Jamie.

Jamie saw a video online of a piano that had been fly tipped near to our home, a young boy walking past stopped to play it and brought joy to the people working in the building nearby and a whole host of people online when the video was uploaded. My son was the second boy to walk past and tinkle the ivories on this beautiful old piano.

Despite some of the keys not being there, the sounds of Phantom of the Opera were un mistakable.

some paperwork found in the piano suggests that she was purchased in 1910. That makes her 115 years old.

Jamie decided he couldn’t leave her to rot or be vandalised at the side of the road, so we appealed to the public for help to get her home which we have done, and now we’re appealing to you.

Jamie would like to restore this old girl to her former beauty. She still sounds incredible given her age and her unceremoniously dumped she was.

However, this won’t be an easy job because there’s not many pianos of this age or style left around, chances are she’s going to need some craftsmanship from someone very specific.

At present, we have no idea how much this will cost or if it’s even possible, if you are a craft person that could help us please reach out. But likewise, if someone comes to our rescue, we want to be able to pay them.

my son is autistic and very keen on history, he will not let this go. Help a mum to empower her boy, and restore this piano so she can continue to bring joy!
