The Butler Cabin
This log cabin was occupied and used by the John and Rebecca Butler Family for decades before being donated to the White Mountain Historical Society. The Society would like to restore the cabin how it might have looked when originally built.
The estimated cost of the restoration project is $2,500-$3000 dollars.
Give what you feel comfortable with ($20, $30, $50, $100 or more!).
Thank you!

The Butler Cabin
This log cabin has played a role in the Butler family for over a century. John and Rebecca’s oldest son, Dallace, was born in this cabin in 1917. At some point, it was moved out to the family farm east of Eagar, and was used for storage of saddles, bridles, grain and other items.
Following Dallace Butler’s death in 1980, the cabin was donated to the White Mountain Historical Society, where it is now located.
This Go Fund Me request is being sent to descendants of John and Rebecca Butler in an effort to raise the funds required for the restoration. All money contributed will be donated to the Society.
Your help in making this happen would be greatly appreciated!! We estimate that there are over 150 adult descendants of John and Rebecca Butler. If we all pitch in, we will meet or exceed our goal of helping to restore this important part of our legacy.
Thank you!
This painting, done by Duane Biddie, a Navajo Artist, (commissioned by Dean Wilkins, grandson of John and Rebecca) shows the cabin, (on the left side of another structure) where it was used on the Butler farm. The well and the barn were built by the John Butler and family.
