The Loss: A Filmmaker’s Worst Nightmare
Recently, while working on a project, Sterling experienced an unfortunate loss. After a long day of filming, he placed his camera equipment on top of his car and, distracted by a situation outside, drove off without realizing it. When he returned to the location, the equipment—worth over $7,000—was gone. Despite asking around and searching, it had vanished.
The lost equipment includes his Black Magic Camera, lenses, and essential adapters—critical tools for his filmmaking. This loss has left Sterling without the means to continue his work, robbing him of his ability to tell the important stories that bring hope, awareness, and inspiration to communities.
Why We Need Your Help
Sterling’s films are more than entertainment; they are powerful reflections of real-life struggles—orphans seeking families, individuals overcoming the odds, parents facing job loss, and the fight for literacy. His work gives a voice to those in need and sheds light on stories that deserve to be told. With your help, we can restore Sterling’s ability to continue making an impact through his films.
The cost of replacing his equipment is over $7,000, and we are contacting the community to ask for support. Every donation, no matter the size, will help bring this storyteller back behind the camera and continue his mission of bringing real-life stories to the screen.
How You Can Help
Your donation will go directly towards replacing the stolen equipment, including the Black Magic Camera, lenses, and adapters, ensuring that Sterling can continue to create films that matter. By supporting this campaign, you’re not just helping one filmmaker—you’re helping countless stories be told.
