Restore Standing Bear Farm Hostel After Flood
Donation protected
Standing Bear Farm, our beloved family-run hostel and historical homestead, was tragically hit by a flash flood today, causing significant damage to the property. This farm, lovingly preserved from the original 1920s homestead, has become a sanctuary for Appalachian Trail hikers—offering rest, warmth, and community just beyond the Smokies. It’s more than a place to stay; it’s a piece of living history that connects people from around the world with the spirit of the trail. We’re raising funds to help with urgent repairs and restoration so we can continue welcoming hikers and preserving this special place for years to come. Any support means the world to our family and to the thousands of hikers who call Standing Bear a home away from home.
