This is Soup! He is a 3 year old Toyger (half Tabby, half Bangle) in need of surgery! Soup needs an FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) to reduce pain and allow for healthy movement of his right hip. Soup broke his hip over a year ago and his previous owners weren't able to raise enough money for him to get surgery. The break has since since healed improperly, and he walks with a limp. His entire right leg is visibly weaker and smaller. He has limited mobility and is clearly in pain.

Soup is a beloved boy by all. He was found wondering college dorms at Cal State University San Bernardino and his adorable and mischievous personality tugged at the heart strings of students there. It was at the dorms that his rambunctious behavior led to him to jumping off a fridge breaking his hip. Once his previous owners left the dorms, we took soup in, andthe support of the community who met him there remains strong.

Unfortunately, while we are able to house soup in our apartment, we are still broke college students, and and while while my Fiancee and I alongside his previous owners and others who care for him have worked hard to get him all the vet appointments and surgery consultations necessary, we cannot afford the surgery itself.

Soup was recommended to receive his FHO with Veterinary Surgical Specialists of Orange County under the care of Vet Surgeon, Peter Sebestyen, where we we're quoted a cost of $5,000.
