Hello my name is Sophia Thompson (Velazquez) and I am asking for help to get hearing aids. My insurance does not cover hearing aids over the age of 21 and I have not found an insurance that will cover the cost of hearing aids. I am hard of hearing and hearing aids help me be able to live a normal life. I lost my hearing aids back in November of 2024 and it has impacted my life significantly. If you know me personally, you know how much this has hurt me mentally. Growing up I suffered from lots of ear infections which led to my hearing loss. I need $3240 for hearing aids so that way I can enjoy hearing my children laugh, be able to hold a job, and to even hear cars pass by when I go with walks with my family. I am raising $3400 since GoFundMe takes 2.9% of the proceeds. If you are able to donate or just share my story that would great ! I just want to be able to feel normal again.
