SHILOH CHURCH OF GOD SEVENTH-DAY was founded in 1973, by Pastors Alroy and Gwendolyn Oreggio, whose vision was to build a church that would bring a sense of belonging and community to all who entered. The church was located at 123 Wendell Ave, Toronto for over 30 years.
With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we share the loss of our recently renovated church to a devastating fire on September 13, 2025. Back in 2021, we undertook a complete interior renovation to bring the church up to Toronto's building code standards, completing the project in 2022. Sadly, our beloved church was completely destroyed in the blaze, everything from equipment and furnishings to the sanctuary, fellowship hall, and kitchen was tragically consumed beyond recognition. The building itself sustained significant structural damage.
As a small, community-based church, we have dedicated ourselves to serving the needy with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Every dollar contributed by our congregation and generous friends and neighbors was invested in transforming our church into a beacon of hope and support for all who seek solace within its walls.
We firmly believe in the kindness and compassion of individuals like you, who step forward in times of crisis to offer support. Your assistance in our rebuilding efforts is not just an investment in a church building; it is a commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and uplifting space that enriches our entire community.
Please join us in realizing the vision to rebuild the SHILOH CHURCH OF GOD SEVENTH-DAY. Your donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to reopening our doors for worship and continuing our vital community service.
Thank you in advance for your generous contribution to this cause that holds such profound meaning for us.
