My name is Mayisha Hamilton, on the evening of Saturday, November 2, 2024, my daughter Samiyah “Belle” Allen was involved in a hit and run accident that left her stalled on the side of the road, dazed, confused and scared! I am EXTREMELY grateful that this accident didn’t result in the loss of life, but unfortunately, the accident has resulted in her vehicle being totaled, leaving her without reliable transportation to get to and from school and her school activities and being 2,100 miles away from home, this has created significant difficulties.

Samiyah is a Junior at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Organization and Management. In addition to pursuing her education, she is involved in multiple leadership and volunteering activities as follows:

• Events Chair (Vice President) and Social Media Committee for “P.U.L.S.E.” – Programming for a Unique and Lively Spelman Experience

• Founder and President of the Atlanta Chapter of African Diaspora Social Society LLC (D Society)

• Spelman Liaison for the Morehouse Business Association (MBA)

• MiniSKIRTS Committee Member for the Sisters Keeping It Real Through Service (S.K.I.R.T.S.)

• Volunteering/Mentoring at the Barack and Michelle Obama Academy

In addition, Samiyah is currently employed part-time as a Student Marketing Ambassador with CELSIUS Holdings, Inc. Her position responsibilities are to identify trends and use them to engage students with CELSIUS on and off her school campus, drive product trail and create brand awareness through sampling activations and event support and build awareness of CELSIUS using word-of-mouth and creative marketing tactics.

As you can imagine, this situation has created considerable difficulties with her day-to-day activities. I understand this is a big ask but I would greatly appreciate any support you can render during this challenging time.
