On August 11, a powerful hurricane hit our beloved home island of São Vicente, Cape Verde. ICCA Orphanage, the only home for so many children, was flooded. The water destroyed their beds, clothing, kitchen, and all of their food supplies.

Now, the children are left without a place to sleep, without dry clothes, and without the ability to prepare a single meal. The space they once felt safe in, is now unlivable until repairs and replacements are made.

This is deeply personal for us. São Vicente is our home. These children are part of our community.

Your donation will go directly toward replacing beds, mattresses, clothes, shoes, and kitchen equipment, as well as providing food and clean water for the children. Even the smallest gift can mean the difference between them going hungry and having a warm meal, between sleeping on the floor and sleeping in a bed again.
