Brenda bought her home in 2019. She has since lived there with her two sons, fur and feather babies. There was an elderly lady that lived next door; she was a spitfire! She became a surrogate grandmother to the kids. She was amazing. After her passing, her children neglected the property. With time, the unhoused moved in. The situation became unsafe, and squatters had more rights than the neighbors. There were a series of fires that eventually took out an entire side of the fence, approximately 110 feet. The unhoused parties exposed private parts to the children, left behind needles near the sidewalk, burned toxins daily, sold drugs out of the house, and stole items from the yard. After the first big fire, yard tools and the lawn mower were removed from the property. Authorities and code enforcement were called by many neighbors. A bike belonging to the five-year-old with a brake on the right side, as he has limb difference, was taken as well. One night, a man came into the yard, refusing to leave, and tried to plow through mom to get in the house. She held him down until authorities arrived to assist. The violations that have occurred left the family vulnerable with some red tape from the insurance company, not enough money to secure the property as it was a shared fence, and the home has since been demolished. Feathered babies roam free in the backyard, raised by hand from the little boy, no longer have security, and half have magically disappeared. Dogs are required to stay kenneled for their safety. Your support would greatly provide security to a vulnerable situation and allow human, feather, and fur babies the freedom to once again explore the backyard. A neighborhood committee is offering to help rebuild, your support helps to get needed materials.
