I’m raising funds for my mother, Rose Nelson, after a fire damaged her home in Florida. Rose is 95 years old and has spent her life building a home and caring for her family. She lives on a fixed income, and because homeowners insurance in Florida had become too expensive, she was not able to afford coverage. Now she is facing the overwhelming cost of restoring her home without insurance to help cover the damage.

At the same time, Rose is currently in the ICU/Burn Unit at Jackson Hospital, where she is receiving medical care following the fire. Our family is praying for her healing and recovery while also trying to make sure she has a safe place to live when she is released. At 95 years old, Rose should not have to carry this burden alone.

Donations will help with the practical needs ahead, including home repairs and restoration, construction and contractor expenses, building materials and supplies, furniture and household necessities, clothing and personal items, utilities, and other immediate needs. Every contribution will help us work toward creating a safe and comfortable home for Rose to return to.
