Restore Rhea's Mobility: Donate for Surgery
Donation protected
I'm Lauren, I am attempting to raise funds to help finance the recommended treatment for my dog, Rhea. Rhea is only 3 years old and has already been diagnosed with arthritis in both front legs and recently injured both back legs with CCL injuries. I cannot pay for this surgery in one lump sum with my income alone. All of my savings won't cover even half of the procedure and I am unemployed (despite efforts to find employment), sold my house and live with elderly grandparents. Rhea has walked with a limp for well over a year, and since her CCL injury, her mobility is severely impaired, she resembles an elderly dog at the age of 3. I'm scared that as this progresses, I will lose her prematurely due to the fact that she can no longer get up or move around, let alone run and play like a healthy, happy dog.
Most of funds will be directed toward Rhea's procedure (anesthesia to extract the tissue used to process into stem cells), the processing of tissue into stem cells, and the injection of stem cells into the source of pain.
The remaining funds will be directed to the storage of stem cells, in case there is a need to use them again after the first injection(s).
