This fundraiser is for my sweet brother, Pete. Pete is 27 years old, has cerebral palsy, and is wheelchair-bound. He is suffering from a retinal detachment in the one good seeing eye he has and is currently blind, as he has been blind in his other eye for years. Because of Pete being born prematurely, this surgery is complex and not many doctors are willing to do it. His Omaha doctors are encouraging us to travel to Detroit or Iowa City so that he has the best chance of regaining his sight with surgery. This fundraiser is to help alleviate the financial burden upon my & Pete's parents with travel, lodging, Pete's medical supplies, and medical bills.
