Hey everyone,

So my confession is that for the past few months, 8 to be exact, I just haven't been feeling myself. At first, I thought it was just life, stress, and my daily responsibilities, but then I started noticing physical changes in myself that became alarming.

My weight loss, weakness, extreme exhaustion, swelling, to name a few. I went to see my doctor in March, but they didn't find anything; it was categorized as stress, and I needed to slow down. However, in my slowing down, I still didn't find relief, my exhaustion became overwhelming, my body began to slowly shut down on me, and it wasn't until I showed you all on Sunday that my legs blew up like balloons and an undefinable sharp pain hit my chest that I said ok, enough is enough, there's something wrong!!!

I went to Patient Care, and there they ran tests and, within a matter of moments, had me rushed to the ER. My thyroid numbers, which should be no higher than 130ng, are a dangerously high 573; my EKG came back alarming as my heart was in distress. My proBNP is 754pg, it shouldn't be over 300. These are danger signs for heart failure, as many may recall my son suffered heart failure, too so this is close to home for me. My T3 and my T4 are ridiculously high. After I left the ER around 9 pm, I was told to return because the doctors felt like I was close to having another stroke.

My day yesterday was spent monitoring, several heart tests, and a plan for stroke prevention, along with meds to try to balance my thyroid, which right now seems not to be functioning properly at all.

What I don't want is a shunt or a pacemaker, nor do I want to be on harsh medications, so I looked into other advanced methods of holistic options that could be available to me. There is an amazing holistic treatment center in DC where I would go and check myself in for a period of time, where they will administer herbal treatments and therapy for my heart and my thyroid, as well as my kidneys, which are also struggling.

I can register for this treatment as early as Tuesday morning, but of course, holistic medicine is not covered by insurance, so this will be an out-of-pocket expense. I wish I had the energy to heal myself, but mentally, where I am, I just don't, and I have to confess, I need help!!

I feel this treatment center is exactly what I need in order to restore my heart function, help my thyroid, and get me back to being Paris.

I am not the same vibrant, energetic Paris I used to be, I struggle daily and it was mentally draining not knowing what was wrong so I kinda was throwing in towel, but now that I am knowledgable about why my body is acting like this and I have the information that I need to explain the setbacks I have a new found strength to fight this thing, recover and continue doing what I love doing the most.

I know I am always helping others to recover from various health challenges, but what do you do when you are the go-to person, and that go-to person now needs health challenge help?

So my goal is to at least get 5k of the 13,000 I need to get my foot in the door, even if I can't get the 14-day session, 7 days is a great start for me because I can pick up where they leave off. I just need them to help me get started so I can restore my energy and vital functions, so I can push forward.

I know that in today's economy, everything is challenging right now; however, if you help me, I can get back to helping others.
