I thought my new family was building the perfect life on our farm. Our 120-year-old house is run down, but we love it and we are working on it a little bit every day.

It wasn't until my daughter Emma's 1-year physical that we were alerted to heightened lead levels in her blood. It was then time to locate the source of the lead exposure. I had the state test the well, and it came back clean, which was a huge relief. We then looked to the house for the source. That's when we discovered that almost all of the floors, all of the trim, an antique metal ceiling and several of the walls are covered in lead paint.

I've researched lead remediation in depth, but my family does not possess the skill set or the tools to safely remediate the lead. We are a D.I.Y. family, but this is just too much. We need professional help with this huge project. My daughter Emma and her mother Laura have temporarily moved out of the house to prevent further lead exposure. I feel this is the hardest part. I'm asking for your help to bring my family home.
