Restore our Hearts & Home
Donation protected
As many locals know the community of Cannon Falls has been supporting several families who have been displaced by an apartment complex fire on 4/19/23. The heroic efforts of our emergency personnel was phenomenal in rescuing 3 small children from that fire who are now recovering ❤️ and sadly one has passed away.
My name is Stacie Banks and I am the employer/coworker/teacher and friend of one of the displaced families with 3 small children. Jaeda Peters and her children, William(4), Leighton (2) and Weslynn (11mos).
Jaeda is a compassionate, resourceful, organized, loving, caring, considerate, kind and the most PATIENT woman/teacher of toddlers and mother to her own small children.
She recently organized a charity to collect donations for a victim of a domestic assault in our town. Little did she know she too would need OUR help just a couple of weeks later.
Jaeda is in need of many things that are slowly being checked off the list with support of donations of goods and services from kind and loving people and our school family. She is grateful for all of the love and support.
I have prayed over this fundraiser and know what God is capable of. I’m asking that you please spend some time praying and proclaiming abundance over this family. Jaeda is a single mother who gives 110% with a smile on her face even when the going has been rough. She pours love into her children and all of the children she teaches. She is adored by many as are her children.
If there has ever been a time to give, I think helping these young families with young children find new housing and helping them restore their hearts is the best way to help them move forward.
I am hoping to raise funds to allow Jaeda some room to breathe financially and be able to find a place that we could get the rent taken care of for the next 6 months. This will enable her to be able to purchase new furniture, couches, bedding, essentials for the home. All of her household items are heavily damaged with soot, smoke, water damage. (Her apartment was right next door)
As anyone could imagine it is hard to explain to your children you cannot go home. The trauma and the mental toll that this event has on each of the children is different. Please keep all of the children in this apartment complex and their families in your prayers as they rebuild. May their parents be strong leaders like Jaeda is to her children. Jaeda is a warrior who presses on and marches forth. I pray that she will be marching ahead into a new home on or before May 1st. God willing.
thank you,
stacie
