Our 4 car unit interior exudes its own special luxuriance, a complete contrast to the spartan interiors of today’s trains. Wooden panelling, full sprung proper seating, adjustable lighting, complete with somewhere to hang your hat & coat, as well as space to put your luggage.

Another characteristic of these enduring units was the way the gangway connection at the front of the train swayed from side to side at speed. This novel fitting on this type of unit enabled them to run in multiple unit formation with 4Buf & 4Res formations enabling passengers throughout the train to access refreshments.
