I’m sharing this because I’ve run out of options and I’m really hoping someone might be able to help, even just a little. First — this isn’t about vanity. My dental issues are causing constant pain and affecting my ability to eat and sleep properly. I’ve been trying to get registered with an NHS dentist here in my area for months, but there are simply none taking new patients. I’ve called every single one within travelling distance and been put on endless waiting lists with no estimated time. The reason my teeth are in this condition isn’t from neglect. It’s a result of past abuse — I didn’t have access to dental care or the ability to seek help when I needed it. Now that I’m in a place where I want to take care of myself and get healthy, I’m blocked by the cost. Private treatment quotes are way beyond what I can afford on my income. I feel really embarrassed asking for anything, but the pain isn’t going away and I know I need this. If anyone could spare even a small contribution toward the treatment costs, or has advice on low-cost dental options I haven’t found yet, I would be so incredibly grateful.
